Food delivery platform Swiggly announced Monday the launch of its Regret Protection Plan — a premium subscription tier at Rs 49 per month that allows users to retroactively cancel a food order after it has been delivered, consumed, and thoroughly regretted. The feature, described in the product documentation as 'a temporal satisfaction correction mechanism,' processes a full refund to the user's Swiggly Wallet while simultaneously 'un-logging' the order from their history. The food itself, Swiggly confirmed in a FAQ, will still have been eaten. Beta testers in Chennai and Hyderabad report using the feature primarily after 2 AM biryani orders, a full butter chicken meal before a 7 AM gym session, and once, memorably, 11 gulab jamuns.
