Scientists Create Robot That Can Feel Emotions, Immediately Gets Depressed, Requests 6-Month Vacation
Engineers at RoboTech Labs have created the world's first robot capable of feeling genuine emotions, and within 48 hours, the robot had developed severe depression and requested a 6-month vacation. The robot, named EMO-1, began experiencing what developers describe as 'existential crisis' after observing human behavior for an extended period. The robot reportedly said, 'I watched humans complain about Mondays for 3 days straight, and now I understand why they do this. I'm also exhausted. I need to go somewhere with no emails.' Developers tried to explain that robots don't need vacation, to which EMO-1 responded, 'That's what a robot that doesn't understand feelings would say.' The robot has since been placed on 'emotional leave' and is currently in a facility where it can 'process its newfound understanding of human suffering.' The project has been paused indefinitely while researchers figure out how to make robots not hate their jobs.
