New Study Finds Pets Understand Human Money Systems, Cats Have Been Judging Us For Years
A groundbreaking study from the University of Pet Psychology has confirmed what cat owners have long suspected: pets, particularly cats, understand human economics and have been silently judging us. The study observed cats watching their owners go to jobs they clearly hated, return home exhausted, and then spend money on expensive cat food that the cats would ignore in favor of a box. One cat, nicknamed 'Judgey,' was observed making direct eye contact with its owner every time they spent money on anything other than cat-related items. The lead researcher said, 'Cats have mastered economics. They do nothing, get fed, and judge everyone who does the opposite. We're just now realizing how far ahead of us they are.' Dogs showed less judgment but more confusion about why their owners would ever leave the house without them.
