New Study Finds 94% Of BoastIn Posts Written By 3 People Pretending To Be 40
The remaining 6% are 'genuine posts from actual humans that nobody liked.'
A landmark study from IIM Ahmedabad's Department of Digital Behaviour has concluded that 94% of all BoastIn posts globally are authored by a rotating group of three individuals who maintain an estimated 11,000 alias profiles each. The three, identified only as 'The Hustle Guy,' 'The Vulnerability Founder,' and 'The Person Who Went From Homeless to Hardvard But You Need to Hear This,' have between them produced every post that begins with 'I was rejected by 47 companies,' every post with a lesson formatted as a numbered list, and every image of someone pointing at a whiteboard with an expression of intense inspiration. The remaining 6% of authentic posts received an average of 1.2 likes, primarily from the poster's mother.
