Pune residents Abhishek Sharma and Neha Joshi, who met on a popular dating app in 2022, revealed in a candid Instagram post marking their third anniversary that both of them had swiped right by accident. Abhishek admits he was watching a YouTube video simultaneously and lost control of his thumb. Neha says she was trying to reject someone else and her phone lagged. Their first date, which both agreed to out of 'a feeling that we might as well,' lasted six hours. They moved in together after three months, got engaged at fourteen months, and were married last October. 'We are living proof,' Abhishek told reporters, 'that occasionally the algorithm benefits from human error.' The app has since used their story in three ad campaigns without asking.
